The Village of Fenton City Council will meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the 
Fenton City Hall.  


1.  The Village of Fenton was awarded $290,000 through the 2015 LCDBG program to upgrade it existing sewer plant. 
2.  The Safe Routes to School Program has gone from $425,000 to $625,000.

Fenton is awarded $15,698 to purchase and install new digital water meters and program to run the new system.

Fenton gets State Funds from Louisiana Governmental Assistance Program

The Village of Fenton is getting $14,500 from the Louisiana Governmental Assistance Program to purchase a mini-excavator which will be used for maintenance work around town.

Fenton gets State Funds to Improve Sidewalks

The Village of Fenton is getting more than a million dollars in state funds for sidewalk improvements.

Mayor Eddie Alfred told 7 News that the money will help build new sidewalks and expand existing ones from four to six feet.

The funding is from the State DOTD as part of the Safe Routes to School project.

The mayor says the project will start soon and be completed by the middle of next year.
